The Tulane BIRCWH Advisory Committee members have been selected by the PI and Co-PI/PD based on their proven track record of research expertise, leadership, training, and mentorship skills. With a combination of 195 publications and 70 federal grants funded within the last four years, the Tulane BIRWCH Advisory Board represents a rich pool of expertise and a considerable source of support and mentorship for current and future Scholars.
In keeping with the inherently interdisciplinary nature of the program, the committee members represent a wide range of leadership and research expertise from Tulane, Xavier and Louisiana State Universities. The composition and collective experience of the committee provides considerable support to the PI and Co-PI/PD in ensuring the future success of the Tulane BIRCWH program. The Advisory Committee provides oversight for development, implementation, evaluation of recruitment strategies and the recruitment and retention of candidates. They monitor and evaluate individual candidates as well as the overall effectiveness of the career development aspects of the program |
