Master of Public Health & Tropical Medicine (MPH&TM) Admission Requirements A. Applicant must hold the degree of Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or its equivalent from a recognized institution. Combined degree medical students (MD/MPHTM) are also eligible for the program. Applications from other qualified health professionals, such as registered nurses, will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Copy of health professional degree (MD, MBBS, RN, etc.). B. Transcript from health professional training program. C. Written evaluation from two referees who have had sufficient contact with the applicant to judge his/her personal qualities and ability to work with others or independently. D. A statement by the applicant describing his/her career plans, with an indication that the stated career goals are consistent with the objectives of the MPHTM program. E. Test of English As a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores for applicants from non-English speaking nations with a minimum score of 570 on the paper-based test, 230 on the computer based test, or 88 on the internet-based test.
