The Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine is pleased to announce that they have maintained their ranking in the US News Graduate School Compass. Listed at #13 among 44 schools of public health, SPHTM is now the best public health school in the Gulf States. This ranking maintains the increase established in the 2008 report.
In other exciting news, the school ranked #25 in Healthcare Management among 75 degree programs nationwide. This represents a big leap over the previous ranking of 34, thanks to the outstanding work of the Health Systems Management faculty and their participation in national organizations.
Rankings for the US News Graduate School Compass are based on peer assessment by deans and other administrators and faculty from schools and degree programs within the same discipline. Only fully accredited programs are considered for ranking.
In a letter to faculty, staff, and students, Dean Pierre Buekens expressed in thanks, adding, "Your efforts on a daily basis help us to continually improve and grow. Everyone plays a part in the school's success."
