Georgia State Merit System For those of you not familiar with the State Merit System of Georgia, it is the agency which hires for all state positions. This web site features job opportunities and online application forms. It is broken into two main sections, "continuous recruitment" and "special recruitment." The continuous recruitment section features many listings in health services and social services which may be of interest to public health professionals. The special recruitment section is updated with current vacancies every Friday. An excellent site for those seeking employment in Georgia. Health Resources and Services Administration This Department of Health and Human Services agency has as its mission to improve and expand access to quality health care for all. The job search site lists jobs currently available to the general public. Indian Health Service IHS is an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services responsible for providing federal health services to American Indians and Alaska Natives. The site is very easy to use through graphic presentations. While health professional jobs are divided into easy to understand categories, the descriptions of the jobs are minimal.
