Personal Statement:
Dr. Stranova received his Doctor of Science (ScD) and his Master of Health Administration (MHA) degrees from Tulane University and his undergraduate degree from Tufts University where he majored in History while also earning a Certificate in Community Health. Prior to joining the Tulane faculty, Dr. Stranova held leadership positions with New Orleans-based Ochsner Health System and Tulane University Hospital & Clinic. Dr. Stranova also has experience in health care policy, having spent several years as a policy analyst for Paralyzed Veterans of America, a non-profit advocacy group in Washington, DC. His research interests revolve around the relationships between academic teaching hospitals and their associated medical schools and include organizational structures/theory, strategic decision making, and market development.
Dr. Stranova serves as the department's Director for the Administrative Residency Program and on the department's Admissions and HSM Fund & Regents Professorship Committees.
