Laissez les bons temps rouler in New Orleans (Let the good times roll)! New Orleans is a city like no other. Perhaps that is the reason why so many people were drawn back to the Crescent City despite the changes brought on by hurricane Katrina. Its distinctive culture, cuisine and musical heritage give New Orleans a flavor all its own. New Orleans

Navigating through New Orleans neighborhoods... In New Orleans, north, south, east, and west navigation descriptions are virtually unused. The Crescent City landscape provides the navigation. Lakeside is considered North toward the lake and the Causeway bridge; riverside is south to the river; west is uptown; and downtown is east. There are 16 national historic districts in New Orleans, which include national historic landmarks (French Quarter, Garden District, and the streetcars). The Tulane University Health Sciences Center (TUHSC) campus is located downtown in the Central Business District (CBD). Tulane's main campus is located in Uptown New Orleans.
