Financial Aid and Scholarship Information
A need-based financial aid package may include one or more of the following types of assistance: grants, scholarships, loans, and employment. Since most of these programs are federally funded, applicants must meet federal eligibility criteria such as being a United States citizen or permanent resident, carrying at least a half-time academic load (five credits per semester) and must be in good academic standing. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be completed by the student to determine financial eligibility. These awards are made on the basis of academic merit and expected contribution to the field. All awards are made at the sole discretion of the department. International Students International students are highly recommended to check the Financial Aid Information Page web (EduPass), which may lead to possible sponsoring agencies, scholarship programs, or other private loan programs in their International Student Section. Additional Opportunities Luce Scholars Program - The Luce Scholars Program provides stipends and internships for eighteen young Americans to live and work in Asia each year. Dating from 1974, the program's purpose is to increase awareness of Asia among future leaders in American society. Click here for details. |
