Biography
Managing Director of Future Factory, a venture capital firm focused on health care with offices in Atlanta and New Orleans.

He chairs the Biology to Business initiative, a collaborative effort between the health sciences centers of LSU and Tulane to commercialize university-based research.

In addition, Mr. Reggie serves on the Board of Directors of the New Orleans BioInnovation Center, a wet lab incubator and a Good Manufacturing Practices laboratory for stem cell, vector and DNA production. He also serves as Vice Chairman of Discovery Alliance International, Inc., a pharmaceutical clinical trials company.

Mr. Reggie founded American LIFECARE, a multi-state managed care organization, in 1983 and served as Chairman of the Board until August 2004, at which time it was sold to Private Healthcare Systems of Waltham, MA. Mr. Reggie was a founding board member of the Louisiana Association of Health Plans and the Louisiana Health Care Commission.

Previously, Mr. Reggie served as the Chief Executive Officer of a rural hospital chain.

Mr. Reggie began his career in commercial banking. He served as president of three banks under common ownership, setting numerous profitability and deposit growth records.

In November 2004, Mr. Reggie was honored with the Champion of Public Health Award from Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.

He serves as Treasurer of Freedom From Hunger, an international development organization working in sixteen countries across the globe to deliver sustainable self-help solutions to chronic hunger and poverty. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Washington, D.C.-based MicroCredit Enterprises, LLC which invests in and supports microlending in the third world.

He has served as a healthcare system examiner in Cuba, Syria, Jordan, Israel and the occupied territories on behalf of the Human Rights Project, Washington, D.C. And he has been a delegate to Academy International Health Studies trade missions to Rome and Hong Kong.

Mr. Reggie received his Master of Business Administration degree from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.
