Richard A. Boss Jr. MD, MMM is a practicing cardiologist in Concord, New Hampshire. He received his undergraduate degree in zoology from the University of Maine and his MD from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiology and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is currently a member of the medical staff of Concord Hospital and serves as chair of the Critical Care Committee. He has led quality improvement initiatives around acute coronary syndromes and public access defibrillation. After relocating to Concord, New Hampshire, Dr. Boss joined the staff of the Hitchcock Clinic. He has served as a division Medical Director in the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic system and as Assistant Medical Director for Medical Management in the Clinic's Southern NH Region. During the brief merger of the Hitchcock and Lahey Clinics, he served as a member of the System Board of Governors and as Co-Chair of the Compensation Committee. He also served as the President of the Medical Leadership Institute, a national organization focusing on physician leadership activities. He currently holds the position of Medical Director of Evidenced-Based Medicine at Concord Hospital and serves on the teaching faculty of the Forrest McKerley Simulation Center Dr. Boss lives in Hopkinton, NH with his wife Mary and their two children. He is an avid golfer and woodworker. |
