The HCA Regents Distinguished Chair in Population Genetics

The Department of Epidemiology at the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine is seeking applications for the HCA Regents Distinguished Chair in Population Genetics and Full Professor of Epidemiology.  Candidates with outstanding experience in genetic epidemiology or statistical genetics will be considered.  There are several large on-going cardiovascular and renal disease genetic epidemiologic studies at Tulane University Health Sciences Center.

Qualifications include significant contributions to published research, continued external research funding, and professional distinction in teaching, mentoring, and service.  We expect the candidate to develop an independent research program in cooperation with research centers and departments at the Health Sciences Campus.

Assistant/Associate Professor in Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology

The Department of Epidemiology at the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position in cardiovascular disease epidemiology.  There are several large on-going cardiovascular disease epidemiologic studies at Tulane University Health Sciences Center.  We offer a supportive environment for faculty to participate in these funded studies or develop new projects, in cooperation with research centers and departments at the Health Sciences Campus.

Qualifications for Assistant Professor include a doctoral degree in epidemiology or MD with epidemiology training, post-doctoral experience, demonstrated potential to establish independent research programs, evidence of excellence in teaching, and interest in collaborative research.

Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Molecular Epidemiology of Cancer

The Department of Epidemiology, and the Tulane Cancer Center, are seeking applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at any academic rank. Candidates with emphasis in Molecular or Genetic Epidemiology of Cancer will be considered. The Department and Cancer Center are both undergoing major periods of expansion and outstanding startup, facilities and environment will be provided.

Candidates should hold a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline, post-doctoral experience, and have demonstrated potential to establish independent research programs, and show potential for excellence in teaching. Senior faculty levels require history of extramural support and will have opportunities for Program Leadership.
