Student Research Assistant Research assistant needed to coordinate a study of periodontal (gum) disease among pregnant women at Lakeside Hospital. Duties will include: participant recruitment, interviewing, dental examination schedule, hospital medical chart review, and coordination of study logistics. Opportunities for involvement in grant writing, data analysis, and manuscript publication. Could serve as the basis for a master's thesis or dissertation. At least 20 hours per week, starting immediately and lasting at least one year.
Required qualifications: Organized, reliable, outgoing, and attentive to detail. Excellent spoken and written English. Research experience or coursework in research methods or study design. Highly desired qualifications: Experience with research interviewing; experience with pregnant women; coursework in public health, maternal and child health, work-study award.
