The Eta Chapter sponsors an annual poster competition. The contest is open to all SPHTM students, including students in joint degree and executive or distance programs. The winner and runner-up are awarded a cash prize and are recognized at a reception following the poster contest. Contestants receive an offiical certificate of honorable mention. The winning poster is also submitted for consideration to the poster contest at the national organization level (see below). The Delta Omega national organization sponsors an annual student poster sessionthrough the Academic Public Health Caucus during the annual meeting, which is ususally held in November (APHA Conference). The poster session showcases the excellent scholarship and research of students of schools of public health. Students whose work is selected will receive a $250 cash prize as well as the opportunity to present their work during the APHA meeting. |
