The Spring 2024 sessions of the Dean’s Leaders & Lagniappe Lecture Series have been set at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.

In January, Dean Daniele Fallin from the Emory University Rollins School of Public Health and Dean Perry Halkitis from Rutgers University School of Public Health will appear together in a presentation and fireside chat with Dean Thomas A. LaVeist and audience.

The following month, Dean Ayman El-Mohandes from the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy and Dean F. Dubois Bowman from the University of Michigan School of Public Health will speak with lecture attendees.

The series was launched this fall, with monthly sessions beginning in September. All sessions are held in person at noon in the Diboll Auditorium & Gallery in the Tidewater building, 1440 Canal Street. Sessions are also accessible virtually.

Following each talk, attendees are invited for some lagniappe in the adjoining gallery, where a changing rotation of exhibitions explore the topic of Art and Advocacy. The exhibition for January will be a continuation of Leprosy: The Separating Sickness. The artwork for February has not yet been confirmed.

The series is free and open to the public and includes light refreshments. RSVP for in-person or virtual attendance to each lecture is encouraged. All remaining lectures for Fall 2023 can also be viewed on the lecture series website.
