| Making an informed housing choice for graduate school housing demands that you do a little self-assessment and area research. Are you a music-lover, an urban-dweller, a parks-goer, a jogger? There are four neighborhoods that many School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine students call home for different reasons. Many students live Uptown, Downtown, in the French Quarter, and in the Marigny (see photos at right). Please note that there are other regions of the city that our students live -- this is just a brief introduction to a few of the most popular. For more info on city-wide housing option, visit our neighborhoods page. As with most cities around the world, we recommend that you take urban precautions, looking into and asking around about a neighborhood and its residents, before committing to a lease.
