The MEASURE Evaluation Project develops and applies methods for monitoring and evaluating population, health, malaria, and HIV/AIDS programs worldwide. The basic philosophy underlying MEASURE Evaluation is that a more coordinated approach to monitoring and evaluation will result in a more cost-effective and efficient health program. To reach this end, MEASURE Evaluation staff provide technical assistance and training to personnel from USAID, its cooperating agencies, ministries of health, and NGOs to build individual and organizational capacity to identify data needs, collect and analyze technically sound data, and disseminate and use that data for health decision-making at the local, national, and global levels. class="bodytextblackmed1"As a complement to the technical assistance component, the research agenda of MEASURE Evaluation focuses on methods and approaches for health program assessment, including rapid survey techniques, geographic information systems, and advanced statistical methodologies. | | |
