University Technical Assistance in Support of Global AIDS (UTAP)

The CDC Global AIDS Program (GAP) sponsored UTAP is a five-year HIV program, with the specific intent of augmenting and expanding CDC’s efforts to provide technical assistance to GAP countries in the development, implementation and evaluation of HIV prevention programs, care and treatment programs, and the necessary infrastructure to support prevention and care programs and services. Activities are undertaken with the specific goal of reducing HIV transmission and improving HIV/AIDS care and support in partnership with resource-constrained countries. The program is currently in its 5th year.
