A network of institutions of higher learning in different parts of the world have introduced SOCMOB in their programs. These include: University of the Philippines, the Ghana University School of Public Health, University of Brasilia, CIESPAL of Quito, Universidad of Valle School of Communication in Cali, Jimma Institute of Health in Ethiopia, Mahidol University Faculty of Public Health, Peking University School of Public Health, West China University School of Public Health, Insitut de Sante Publique in Benin, and Health Science Institute in Bahrain. SOCMOB is recognized by the World Bank, UNICEF, WHO and international non governmental development agencies as an effective development strategy for health. SOCMOB is described in the website for ICEC.
