Applicants must meet the general admission requirements of the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.Additionally, applicants' credentials will be reviewed by the departmental admissions committee. We are looking for demonstrated commitment to international work and relevant prior experience, training and skills.
Important notice regarding GRE scores
All applicants who received their university training in the US are required to submit GRE scores. Beginning with Fall 2008, score reports must be submitted directly to Tulane. ETS will no longer send scores to SOPHAS.Please request your scores be sent to Tulane directly. Our GRE school designation code is: 6809. Our GRE department code is: 0616.
Admission Deadlines
MPH applications are reviewed by the Department on a revolving basis, usually within two weeks of the file being complete in SOPHAS. Successful applicants will receive official notification from the office of admissions. There is a priority application deadline for scholarships of February 15th.
Doctoral applications are reviewed once annually beginning on January 1st. In order to meet this deadline, applicants with US transcripts are encouraged to have their files complete by December 1st in SOPHAS. Applicants with transcripts from overseas universities are encouraged to have their files complete in SOPHAS by November 15th. Please remember that all doctoral applications must have official GRE scores in their completed files.
Housing
Please check out the housing available through Tulane University at Deming Pavillion or the Papillion Apartments.
