BS/MSPH Combined Degrees Admission Requirements Students must meet the requirements for admission to the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and are expected to have an educational background or experience in the life sciences, physical sciences, or engineering. Students who are registered in baccalaureate programs in at Tulane University and Xavier University may apply for admission to the joint BS/MSPH program during their third year of undergraduate studies. Credits taken in the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine during the senior year may be used as electives for the baccalaureate degree.
Mid-Career Programs Students entering the mid-career program must meet all admission requirements established by the SPHTM. In addition, the student must have had at least three years work experience in environmental health sciences. To receive the MSPH degree, the student must complete 42 hours of course work, including the public health core. Doctoral Programs Student applying to the DrPH program must have completed the requirements for the MSPH, or equivalent, and must meet all the requirements for admission to the school's doctoral program. Students applying to the PhD program may concurrently earn their master's degree. |
