New Degree Focuses on Cancer, Environment
Faculty Acknowledgment The Department would like to congratulate Dr. Faye Grimsley, Associate Professor, for being invited to speak at Ryals UAB School of Public Health inaugural H. Kenneth Dillon Memorial Lecture. Dr. Grimsley's presentation entitled: "Mold Contamination and Remediation Practices in Katrina Flood Damaged Homes," was chosen to enlighten participants on the devastation Katrina left behind and what the future holds. New Faculty Member The Department is happy to announce the addition of a new faculty member, Dr. Margarita Echiverri. Dr. Echiverri's research interests include: International, Applied, and Social Development. Receiving her PhD and Masters Degrees through Tulane University, Dr. Echiverri will be an important addition to the Environmental Health Sciences Program. |  Charles Miller, associate professor of environmental health sciences, says graduate students in a new program will explore links between environmental exposures and cancer.
