Teach for America Mission Statement The mission of Teach For America is to work with a great sense of urgency to build the movement to eliminate educational inequity by enlisting our nation's most promising future leaders in the effort. Program Description Community Health Sciences and Teach for America – a great partnership! Tulane’s Department of Community Health Sciences offers special benefits for Teach for America corps members and alumni interested in pursuing careers in public health. At Tulane, the Teach for America Partnership includes: - 2 year admissions deferral
- Waiver of Tulane application fee
- Deduction in the required academic credits by three credits in recognition of Teach for America experience
- Eligibility of one of approximately 20 Dean’s Grant awards of $3,500 - $4,725
