 | Careers and Opportunities in Public Health
There are many different paths you can take with a degree in public health. Our alumni work in these types of jobs: - Health educator or program manager positions in governmental health agencies, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, state health departments, or local health departments.
- Health educator, program coordinator, or director positions for nonprofit agencies working in public health. Like government agencies, nonprofit agencies exist at the federal, state, and local levels
- Positions with health care providers – not only for graduates with MD or RN degrees, but also for persons without medical degrees where health care providers have a health promotion unit.
- Research project coordinator positions, at either universities or freestanding research organizations.
