Meeting on Maternal and Childbirth Health Systematic Reviews March 1-3, 2007 - Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine Meeting Description The objectives of this meeting were to assess the barriers to: 1) Performing systematic reviews on maternal and childbirth health issues; 2) Updating existing systematic reviews; and 3) Implementing these findings into practice. The symposium had strong participation from a multidisciplinary and international body of professionals, including healthcare providers, researchers/scientists, public health specialists and healthcare policy makers, and the meeting provided a unique forum for engaging those from clinical, public health and policy backgrounds in discussions about the meeting objectives, in order to develop strategies for the diffusion of evidence-based findings in practice and research. Meeting Organizers This meeting was developed and led by faculty and staff from the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, with funding from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
