If I have broadband access do I still need a modem?
Yes! There are times when heavy internet traffic or when a broadband provider experiences technical difficulties that a modem may be needed. At these times the 800 dialup number serves as a backup. Troubleshooting problems with our technical support staff ( DLtech@tulane.edu) sometimes requires use of the 800 number. This number is NOT the same as the 800 number used for phone conversations with the staff.
