What is The Virtual Classroom?
Realtime (live) classes are held using the CAEPH virtual classroom supported by Learnlinc software. Students enter the classroom at a set time each week for a live class. The virtual classroom has two way audio for listening to lectures and asking questions and for engaging in class discussions and debate; it also allows students to present to their fellow students and the professor. During class time you will usually see synchronized power point slides, and the instructor may also use a white board to further illustrate ideas or to discuss another website, or share an application such as an Excel spreadsheet. Your instructor may also ask for your input in a number of ways: by calling on you to ask or answer a question, answer an online Question and Answer quiz, or by asking you to type something into “text chat.” The virtual classroom mimics a traditional classroom but actually has some added features that most classrooms don’t have. This will be the primary method through which courses are delivered. After being accepted into one of our degree programs, you will receive instruction on how to download and install this software, and you will be trained on our other learning tools.
