How is your distance learning program different from other programs?
Our program is very different because almost all of our classes are offered synchronously, that is they are live, with all of the students and the professor in the virtual classroom at the same time. In addition, our software provides a synchronized web browser to accompany the live audio, so everyone in the class is looking at the same visuals at the same time, accompanied by a live lecture or question and answer session. Other programs are either not synchronous in nature, or only have written “chat” rather than audio.  Our software also provides application sharing, which means that students may be seeing powerpoint slides, a spreadsheet, a white board or any number of visuals, not just a pre-recorded “talking head.”
