George Akirtava | George Akirtava, MBA is a Web Manager/Multimedia Development Specialist for CAEPH. Mr. Akirtava is responsible for promoting Distance Learning programs internationally. His responsibilities also include managing CAEPH’s website and Video Teleconferencing room. Mr. Akirtava holds MBA from Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business and BS in Computer Science from Loyola University New Orleans. | 
Alex Bengoa | Alex Bengoa, MS, MCSE is manager of computer operations and interactive technologies for Center for Applied Public Health and South Central Partnership for Public Health Preparedness. Mr. Bengoa is responsible for the management and operations the information systems and distance learning functions for the centers. Mr. Bengoa holds a BS in Biochemistry from Tulane University and a Master of Science in International Development with a specialization in Information System from Tulane University. Mr. Bengoa has a diverse experience on information technologies and its application to education and training specifically distance learning and public health. | 
Monty Ramos | Monty Ramos is the Distance Learning Services Coordinator for CAEPH. Mr. Ramos is responsible for assisting students and instructors with the technical preparation of classes as well as the supervision of nightly classes in the distance learning MPH program. | 
Robert Barrera | Romeo R. Barrera is CAEPH’s Senior Program Manager. In this capacity, Mr. Barrera serves as the business and personnel administrator for all of CAEPH’s research and distance learning activities. He also coordinates and maintains the Center’s business strategy and assists with new project development. Mr. Barrera is the CAEPH liaison for all Tulane departments. | 
Albert Terrillion | Terrillion, DrPH, MA, MEd, CHES is a Program Manager with CAEPH. His responsibilities include handling the admissions process of all incoming students, the marketing of and recruiting for CAEPH’s non-traditional programs, and managing distance learning student and faculty support. Dr. Terrillion also coordinates registration, coding and billing processes, communications, and special events. Research areas include public health workforce development, distance learning, environmental perception and experience, adult education, and program evaluation. . | 
Dr. Luann White | LuAnn White, PhD, DABT is a professor in the Department of Environmental Health in the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She serves as the director of the Center for Applied Environmental Public Health which includes the Center of Excellence in Environmental Public Health Tracking. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology. Dr. White’s research focuses on the prevention of health effects in humans from environmental and occupational agents and environmental risk communication. She has conducted projects to identify exposure to environmental agents and assess and reduce the risk of subsequent health effects in communities. Public health interventions include behavioral aspects as well as the medical and scientific factors that influence exposure and affect health status.
She has developed risk communication methods that address the prevention of environmental exposures as well as individual behavioral risk factors that influence chronic diseases. She has launched distance learning master’s degree programs in Occupational Health and Safety Management, Occupational Health, and Industrial Hygiene. |
