CHRISTOPHER CHAMBERS | Curator of Creative Writing


Christopher Chambers is editor of the New Orleans Review and is on faculty in the English department at Loyola University - New Orleans. He was born in Madison, Wisconsin, and has lived in North Carolina, Michigan, Minnesota, Florida, Alabama, and Louisiana. After receiving a degree in English at the University of Wisconsin at River Falls in 1984, he worked as a carpenter, a journalist, a salesman, a bartender, a dockworker, a lifeguard, and a teacher. He taught martial arts in Minneapolis, high school in south Florida, and writing in Alabama. In 1999, he received an MFA degree from the University of Alabama, where he was editor of the Black Warrior Review. He has written for television, and has published here and there, fiction, poetry, articles, book reviews and photography.
