KATIE BOWLER | Website Director and Writer


Katie Bowler is the senior manager of communications at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, where she is also editor of the award-winning Global Health magazine and is an instructor of web development. Katie has earned publication and design awards from the Press Club of New Orleans, the American Public Health Association, and others.

Katie has published fiction, non-fiction, and poetry in Louisiana Literature, Alternative Medicine, The Double Dealer Redux, The Times-Picayune, Louisiana Life, and other publications.

She recently earned her master of fine arts degree in creative writing, with a concentration in poetry, from Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina. In school, Katie was awarded the Lisel Mueller Grant and a Friends of Writers grant. She lives in Louisiana with her two daughters.
